Scorpions drop championship game to Desert Dogs, 9-3

Thanks to a number of mistakes by players in the Cardinal organization (including the manager, who sat Alex Gordon today), the Surprise Scorpions lost the AFL championship game to the Phoenix Desert Dogs. Brian Bass pitched well, going 6.0 strong innings while surrending three runs, and Billy Butler went 1-for-3 with a rocket RBI double.
