Rod Barajas: RC's Enemy Number One...
Stop pitching to this man.
RC watched tonight's game, which was spoiled by two more homers off the bat of Rod Barajas, and there's not a whole lot to say. Zack Greinke pitched well, and the combo of Andy Sisco and Ambiorix Burgos didn't. The Royals staged a miracle comeback in the bottom of the ninth inning, capped by Mark Teahen's fourth hit of the game -- a three-run double -- but Barajas came up in the tenth inning and promptly dispatched a low Mike MacDougal slider into the left field seats.
Luis Cota finished his season with a mediocre performance. Cota got a no-decision in Burlington's loss today, with a line of: 5.0 IP, 6 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 3 BB, 5 K. He finished the season with a 4.01 ERA in 148 IP. He surrendered 143 hits while walking 63 and striking out 137. It's definitely a season he can build on.

I usually don't condone sticking a guy with a fastball just because your team's pitchers can't get him out (or keep him in the yard, in this case), but I hope Barajas gets one square in the back tonight.
I think the Royals should try and trade for Barajas. With 82 games at the K a year he'd challenge Bonds' single season HR record, of course maybe he won;t be as good when he isn't facing Royals' oitchers, but still..
Then by all means, royalsbeliever, please refrain from posting here.
No royalsbeliever, I don't discriminate against people for having opinions. I discriminate against people for being idiots. There's a difference.
Of course, it's a moot point, because I fail to see how I discriminated against you at all. I don't even delete your silly posts. But if you can't handle criticism of your opinions, then maybe you should post them somewhere else...like your own blog, for instance.
One, two, three, four, I declare a thumb war!
Can't we all just get along?
I think Royals Corner is almost as good as the "official" website of the royals. Just thought you'd like to know that there are plenty of us who enjoy Royals Corner.
ALMOST as good? I think RC is miles ahead of kcroyals.com and that bumbling nincompoop Dick Kaegel.
Cool guestbook, interesting information... Keep it UP
